Recording: Various
Sleeve: Packaged in a long 4CD hardback glossy folder, with a long 12 page full colour, glossy, booklet. The cover is ‘The Beatles as Father Christmas’ by world famous illustrator William Stout (who has been around since the late 60’s and is very well known for his some 43 bootleg covers done for the Trade Mark of Quality guys (visit www.williamstout.com for further details of his most recent work). The irony here is that Bill Stout did this artwork not for a bootleg but for a book; ‘The Beatles Christmas Book; Everywhere it’s Christmas’ by Belmo and Garry Marsh (Number 9 Books/Belmo Publishing ISBN- 13: 978-0-9515255-8-6.
The book is available from www.everywhereitschristmas.com as well as from W.H.Smiths and Waterstones (in the UK): Price £15 plus postage etc.
The 4 CD set comes in a limited edition of just 500.
A very nice edition to put alongside the book.
Source: All the recordings have been gathered from a wide variety of sources. I guess it’s almost complete, but of course someone can always find something extra to add: and don’t forget about all those Christmases to come!
Comment: Get it for Christmas, along with a copy of the book.
Merrie Christmas, Love and Peace to all, Santa Claus.
